About
I’m Tanner, founder of Hyperion Counsel. I started my career at a large, international law firm, where I worked alongside top attorneys with companies at all stages of growth. During my time there, I gained invaluable experience working with entrepreneurs, understanding their needs, and helping them navigate complex business and legal challenges.
After transitioning to a smaller practice, I was free to forge deeper relationships and help growing businesses and creatives thrive. In 2024, I decided to take that experience and start Hyperion Counsel, with the mission of making legal services more accessible and affordable for those who need it the most.
At Hyperion Counsel, you won't find the layers of overhead that inflate traditional law firm prices. I work directly with you, offering practical, cost-effective legal solutions that empower you to grow your business with confidence.
Outside of the office, I’m passionate about nature, creativity, and mindfulness. I enjoy hiking, writing fiction, composing ambient music, and filming tranquil nature videos through a project called Green Noise, which pairs stunning nature scenes with relaxing sounds. As a creator and entrepreneur myself, I’m particularly in tune with the unique concerns and aspirations of growing business owners.

About Hyperion
Hyperion is the tallest tree on Earth. It towers above the forest canopy at a height of 379.7 feet (115.7 meters) in California's Redwood National Park. Despite its immense size, Hyperion began as a tiny seed an estimated 600-800 years ago. Even at that age, it’s still considered young for a redwood, with the potential to live for over 2,000 years. Redwoods are built to weather time and the elements with graceful strength. Hyperion’s growth story mirrors our own life journeys, our creative endeavors.
Like Hyperion, our own growth requires patience, resilience, and adaptation. We face challenges and setbacks, but the key to growth is steady, incremental progress over time. Just as redwoods develop strong roots to weather storms, individuals and their business endeavors must build a solid foundation and plan ahead to grow and thrive.
The redwood forest is also a model for collaboration. Redwoods’ roots interconnect, supporting each other, much like how we rely on our networks, friendships, and community to thrive. Hyperion’s journey from seed to towering giant shows that success is not instant but achieved through long-term dedication, collaboration, and continuous growth. Every business, like this magnificent tree, has the potential to rise above and become a towering force in its field.
